Reader
PDFBook’s reader is built for long reading sessions. It offers two viewing modes and remembers where you stopped in every book.
Viewing modes
Section titled “Viewing modes”- Page flip — a two-page spread that turns like a physical book, with an optional page-turn animation. Ideal for books and manga.
- Vertical scroll — a continuous column of pages. Ideal for papers and documents you skim or scroll quickly.
You can switch modes at any time from the reader toolbar.
Reading direction
Section titled “Reading direction”PDFBook supports both left-to-right and right-to-left reading. Set right-to-left for manga and other RTL books; the setting can be applied per book, so LTR and RTL titles live side by side in the same library.
Search, bookmarks, and navigation
Section titled “Search, bookmarks, and navigation”- In-document search — find text anywhere in the PDF and jump between matches.
- Bookmarks — save any page, with an optional label, and return to it later.
- Table of contents — jump straight to a chapter when the document provides one.
- Zoom — zoom in and out with the toolbar or Ctrl/⌘ + scroll.
Reading-position memory
Section titled “Reading-position memory”When enabled, PDFBook remembers the page (and zoom) you were on and reopens the book right there next time. Your place is saved automatically as you read.
Password-protected PDFs
Section titled “Password-protected PDFs”Encrypted PDFs are supported — enter the password when prompted, and you can choose to have PDFBook remember it for that book.
Focus mode and the Floating Reader
Section titled “Focus mode and the Floating Reader”- Focus mode hides the surrounding interface so only the page is visible.
- The Floating Reader pops the current document into a small always-on-top window, handy for reading alongside other work.
